The Wellmaiden – a new painting by the wonderful Goddess artist Caroline Lir.

The Wellmaiden is the first illustration in a journey to meet the women that are the Guides, Challengers, Initiators and Embodiments of the Goddess of Sovereignty in the Myth of the Grail.
These images will be the Guides on an experiential journey to discover the feminine heart of the Graal mystery.

The Wellmaidens are the sacred Guardians of the Wells. The portals to the Otherworld whose story is told in the Elucidation a prequel to the Grail myth written down in the 13th century, giving an older, pagan interpretation of this mono myth of the British Isles .
