Samhain is a time out of time, when the veil between the worlds is thin. It is the beginning of winter and therefore the beginning of a new year. The Goddess walks the land of Avalon in her guise as Crone, bringer of Death and Rebirth. We honour our ancestors, inviting them to feast with us and sharing stories about the ones we remember, while the land sings in memory of those whose names are long forgotten, magic vibrant underneath the dark winter land. One day we will be the ancestors – Her Crow calls to remind us that Her Wheel is ever turning.
